Workshop « GAMES AND FUN »
Cracovie – du 20 au 27 octobre 2010
Le projet est né l’initiative du Teatr Mumerus de Cracovie, dirigé par M. Wieslaw Holdys. C’est un projet qui se fonde sur la recherche de la fonction culturelle du jeu et du divertissement. L’association, déjà partenaire du Teatr Mumerus dans le cadre du Festival Printemps d’Europe, a été invitée à participer à cet évènement en compagnie de 6 comédiens sortant du Conservatoire de Lyon.
Cette semaine de workshop franco-polonais a permis la création d’un spectacle déambulatoire de deux heures, dans deux lieux différents de Cracovie, réunissant au total une trentaine de personne. Le spectacle a été joué essentiellement en polonais, mais aussi en français, en anglais et en italien.
Après consultation des participants français au projet, ce type d’expérience apparaît parfaitement adapté à de jeunes acteurs en cours ou sortant de formation. Il permet de se confronter à d’autres pratiques théâtrales, notamment par l’observation du jeu, de la technique et des spécificités de fonctionnements d’une compagnie étrangère par rapport à une troupe française.

« Games and play or theatrical hide-and-seek » is a theatrical performance, the result of international youth workshops, involving participants in the project « Europe et Cies » of Lyons (students and actors), members of the Studio Theatre Mumerus (students and pupils) and the actors of Mumerus Theatre.
The creators of the project assume that games and play are the primary source of culture. Therefore, the topics of the workshops and the consequent performance are all kinds of games, as well as literary works, music and art, in which the game is the primary source of inspiration – including « Alice in Wonderland » and « Through the Looking Glass » by Lewis Carroll, the paintings « Children’s Games » by Peter Bruegel and « The Hell of Players » by Hieronymus Bosch, or Igor Stravinsky’s ballet « Game of Cards. »
The performance – a game which is the culmination of the drama workshops will begin on Sunday the 24th of October at Villa Decius in Krakow and will be continued in various places in the city.
